Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Pedestrian for your use of the service. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you use Pedestrian for a company, you confirm you can agree on its behalf.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Give accurate details and keep your password private.
- You are responsible for activity in your account and your projects.
- Tell us straight away at support@usepedestrian.com if you think your account has been misused.
Projects and websites
Each project covers one website. You may research any public website, including competitors, but only run site audits on websites you own or have permission to crawl.
Pricing, budgets and payment
Pedestrian is pay as you go. You top up your wallet in naira by bank transfer, and we add the money once we confirm it has arrived. Our data costs are set in US dollars and shown in naira at the current exchange rate before each request runs. You pay only for data requests that complete successfully.
Your monthly budget limits what you spend, following the rule you choose. Free credit given at sign-up has no cash value and may expire.
Refunds
Charges for completed data requests are not refundable, except where the law requires it or a request failed because of an error on our side. In that case we will credit your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell or publish Pedestrian data as a competing dataset.
- Scrape, overload or try to break into the service.
- Reverse engineer Pedestrian or get around usage limits.
- Use Pedestrian for anything illegal or to harm others.
Data accuracy
Search volumes, traffic, difficulty and authority scores are estimates from third-party data providers. They are useful for decisions but are not exact, and we cannot guarantee any ranking result.
Ownership
You own the content and settings you add. We own Pedestrian, its design and its software. You give us permission to use your project data only to provide the service to you.
Suspension and closing your account
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put the service at risk, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Lagos State.
Changes to these terms
We will give you at least 14 days’ notice by email before changes take effect. If you keep using Pedestrian after that, the new terms apply.
